The Hanover Insurance Group launched a commercial package program to provide 24-hour turnaround quote capability for all their agents. One key requirement of this project was the need to seamlessly integrate many systems.
The goal was to replace an old legacy system with improved and more flexible processing capabilities to reduce the time in the submission/quote/policy issuance lifecycle. However, the challenge was in allowing the user community to seamlessly move between existing applications at Hanover while simultaneously sharing data among those platforms.
Hanover significantly improved internal workflows through seamless, real‐time integration to a flexible policy management system. This allowed Hanover to have multiple entry points to the administration system, depending on the type of end user, while supporting real‐time data sharing to eliminate redundant data entry and storage. All while preserving beneficial legacy assets.
By seamless integration of multiple systems, critical data is delivered to the underwriters in real‐time, enabling the underwriting group to turnaround complex CPP quotes in hours, rather than days.
With the flexibility and configurability of OneShield, Hanover was able to add new features to their CPP product to improve its competitiveness in the marketplace.
