Director, Product Marketing

Overview of Requirements:

OneShield Software is seeking a Director, Product Marketing for their two products, OneShield Enterprise and OneShield Market Solutions. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the Director, Product Marketing will work closely with the VP, Product Management to develop product positioning for both suites through market research, competitive analysis, analyst relations, and client engagements and aligning with the VP Client Relations, this role will be required to interact with clients and focus on improving our client communications, specifically on product enhancements and advantages of upgrades to increase product utilization.

The Director, Product Marketing will also work alongside sales on key messaging and defining our value propositions for prospect presentations, interact with our CTO to represent sales on our product roadmap needs, track latest trends and emerging technologies and collaborate with the broader marketing team to provide relevant and timely content for our marketing campaigns and social media presence. Lastly, the Director, Product Marketing, will be tasked with managing our Proposal Writer and RFP Specialist to ensure our written proposals best represent our offerings and value proposition.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Marketing:

  • Understand OneShield products and articulate the vision and value compellingly.
  • Establish differentiation in our product offerings that allow us to compete and beat our competitors and other existing offerings in the market.
  • Provide sales positioning, insights, and messaging for our website, marketing campaigns, webinars, sales collateral, and social media.
  • Participate in the annual sales and marketing planning process.


2. Client Communication:

  • Work hand-in-hand with the VP, Client Relations, on improving client communication.
  • Translate client business needs to product requirements and align market trends to the organization’s product roadmap.
  • Promote participation, create a regular cadence, and be responsible for content for the OneShield bi-annual user conference.
  • Develop a consistent process for introducing releases, upgrades, new products, features & add-ons.


3. Sales:

  • Work directly with sales on improving our product positioning and value proposition.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop relevant product positioning and prospect-facing content to support each sales opportunity across both product sets.


4. Industry/Market & Competitive Insights:

  • Lead the strategic analysis of the market, existing, and emerging competitive landscape that results in actionable insights.
  • Share regular (quarterly) findings with sales & marketing teams.


5. Product:

  • Assist the VP Product Management’s development of the product roadmap based on market input, competitive knowledge, and sales/client feedback.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in property and casualty core policy administration software a must.
  • Ideal candidate will have strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, external channels and various clients and prospects.
  • Strong presenter both in meetings and speaking engagements (written and in person).
  • Travel (post Covid) approximately 30%.
